What is the Epsom salt?

Epsom salt, otherwise known as bitter or English salt, is a naturally pure mineral compound – magnesium sulfate (MgSO4 * 7H2O). The name of the salt came from the popular city of Epsom in England, where the compound was initially evaporated from mineral water sources. Appearance resembles table salt, is odorless, pH neutral for the skin, pure magnesium content not less than 9.7%; pure sulfur content not less than 12.9%. It is a natural remedy that has long been used in many ailments, for cosmetic purposes and health benefits.
